Live and work with passion and purpose!

Running a small business can be a challenging (but oh, so rewarding!) journey. How would you like an experienced ‘thinking partner’ to bounce ideas with, and hold you accountable to your goals!?

As a successful small business owner myself, I love working with clients who are inspired and committed – both personally and professionally – to create the life of their dreams! I’ve conceptualized, started and run several small businesses, and can assist you to:

  • Become more self-aware (what are your strengths, weaknesses and motivators?)
  • Create a vision, identify your goals, assess the risks – and then go for it!
  • Think out of the box, and stay focused on the ‘big picture’
  • Plan and manage the natural transitions of your business
  • Grow your team, manage it, or downscale it
  • Maintain a healthy work / life balance

Experience & Qualifications

I’ve travelled extensively, held many different job titles (including in the corporate jungle), and lived as a successful entrepreneur since 1999. I’m inspired by people who are open, curious and driven to live a passionate and purposeful life, on their own terms.

  • BA (LLB) degree from UCT in 1992
  • Diploma in Coaching from the Coaching Centre, 2006
  • Accredited Integrative Enneagram Practitioner, 2015
  • Founding member of COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors Association of South Africa)

“I have had the privilege of being coached by Richard Boome for the past two months. The coaching experience has been tremendously beneficial. Richard has proved to be a perceptive and intuitive coach. He has an excellent ability to draw out the client’s own insights and does not project his own values or opinions onto the situation. His approach has been empowering and developmental, teasing out the client’s own thoughts and experiences and gently guiding one to developing responses and corrective action. I can strongly recommend Richard Boome as a personal coach.” – Cecilia Dawson

“It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power. – Alan Cohen
