About Us
SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology) has been training students in coaching since 1997. We align our training with the competencies of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and Coaches and Mentors of South Africa (COMENSA). All of our coaching courses are designed to accommodate those who are working professionals through a combination of evening and intensive block sessions.
Accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). All coaching courses offered by SACAP are accredited by International Coaching Federation (ICF) and COMENSA aligned.

Our grounding in applied psychology, together with our innovative and transformative educational philosophy, produce high quality graduates who blend skill, critical thinking and creativity to be responsive to the needs of society leading to positive change.
The study of coaching aims to benefit individuals, their organisations and society as a whole. Coaching does not work with pathology or the treatment of mental health problems – it concentrates on well-being. Coaching is a developing profession that is still in its infancy. Aspiring coaches, therefore, need to take responsibility to equip themselves to be competent, ethical and knowledgeable practitioners.
