Klasie Wessels specializes in personal development with a strong emphasis on experiential learning to find a deeper sense of meaning and purpose at work. He works with groups and individuals on themes such as leadership, management, taking ownership, decision-making, finding balance, confidence and handling stress.
Before starting Streetschool, Klasie spent 25 years with the Advertising Group FCB – the last 10 years as Managing Director and Chairman of the Johannesburg office. During this time he worked with clients such as Vodacom, Toyota, FNB, Tiger Brands, Edcon, SCJ, Siemens and Samsung. He left FCB in 2007 to pursue more personal passion – people development.
The most exciting part his work is the experiential workshops to the Tibetan exile community in Northern India and expeditions to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Since 2010, he has taken more than 200 people on such personal development journeys and he works directly with the Tibetan government in Exile in this regard. His interaction with the Tibetans allows him to bring a very unusual dimension to coaching.

Klasie is an internationally qualified Educator of Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy and a board member of the Viktor Frankl Institute of South Africa. He has B Comm (Marketing)(Hons) and MBL degrees, and is a qualified Leadership and Executive Business Coach. He also studied Kinesiology and is a certified NLP practitioner. He’s married with 4 children, enjoys ultra long sporting events and has participated in many Iron Man and Cape Epic cycling events. He also does a bit of altitude climbing in the Himalayas from time to time.
I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude for your contribution towards assisting me in making the right choice regarding my career. Although we only had two sessions together, what you did was listen intently and help to take all my angst and concerns, regarding the next move in my career, unpack it all and give me the perspective I needed in order to make an informed decision. Our coaching sessions directed me to make changes that feel good and assisted me to regain my balance. I feel like you granted me grace in my angst.
I have had the great pleasure of being coached by Klasie and will continue to do in the future. He is a great mentor. He says and sees things as they are and has a wonderful down to earth logic which I appreciate. He is kind and caring and extremely professional. He has helped me through some very dark and troubled times with excellent guidance and wonderful follow up support.
