Dorrian is a widely experienced and highly regarded consultant, lecturer and leader in the field of coaching, organisational transformation and leadership development. With particular expertise in the complex areas of diversity, transformation and change management, Dorrian’s model for dealing with diversity as outlined in her Doctoral thesis has been described as having “international significance”.
Dorrian holds two doctorates: a PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Exeter and a Doctorate in Professional Studies (Executive Coaching) from Middlesex University focussing on Diversity, Leadership and Organisational Transformation. Dorrian is an Integral Coach™, certified by Integral Coaching Canada Inc. She is also a certified Thinking Environment™ Consultant and was a founding member of the Time to Think™ Collegiate in South Africa. Dorrian has qualified with the Haygroup as an ESCI Emotional Intelligence assessor and is accredited as an Enneagram practitioner by Adfen International.
Dorrian has been an associate researcher at the University of Cape Town’s intercultural and diversity unit iNcudisa – now situated at Wits (as Wicds). She lectures in Leadership Development for the M.Phil in Business Coaching at the University of Stellenbosch’s Business School. She also lectures on the Neuroleadership Certificate for the University of Stellenbosch’s Executive Development Programme.
Outside of academia, Dorrian specialises in organisational transformation, change management and cultural diversity and works with executives and leaders to grow skills in fostering interpersonal, intercultural alliances in support of organisational aims and objectives. Dorrian has worked on transformational leadership with senior executives across a number of industries, including the international financial services sector, the petrochemical industry, international pharmaceuticals as well as local government and NGOs in SA.
Dorrian lives in Cape Town and works nationwide in South Africa.
