As a consulting psychologist and coach, I have over 18 years’ experience in the education and training industry. I know what sticks and brings about real and sustainable change. My coaching sessions are high-impact and practical to equip people with the skills required to cope with demanding work/life environments and thrive despite life’s adversities.
I believe in the elasticity of human potential and that anyone can improve their lives and achieve their goals, given that they receive the right training, help, and tools.
I have a MA in Psychology and did my thesis on emotional intelligence development. I follow a Positive Psychology methodology and utilise my background in psychology and rich corporate consulting experience to specialise in personal development and career coaching.
Personal development coaching entails helping clients discover their innate potential, strengths, and passions to pursue a purpose-driven life and career. It also involves helping clients develop coping skills to build their resilience to withstand life’s pressures and pains.
Career coaching entails assisting clients with major career changes and challenges. This includes helping clients develop greater influence and authority at work, improving manager’s emotional intelligence (EQ) and soft skills, learning conflict resolution, stress & anxiety management skills, as well as assisting clients through major career changes such as promotions and mid-career changes.
I also do expressive arts coaching, which helps clients work through personal problems by using creative media such as paint, charcoal, music, pottery, and the like to process and express their emotions. I do creative and wellness retreats where clients are taken through an in-depth journey of self-discovery and self-mastery in the beautiful Cape Winelands.
Currently, I am embarking on my PhD studies at the University of Stellenbosch Business School in Business Management and Administration on the focus area of Coaching Psychology.
