Have you ever considered that you are the master and only true expert of your life? Yes, you are! You do not have to do it alone. My passion as a coach is to partner with clients to achieve their goals, tapping into their inner resources . Join me in this transformative and inspirational experience , where we will explore and co-create your personal and leadership development.

I am a seasoned leader in Human Resources and an Employee Health and Wellness Specialist. Amongst others, I have applied my expertise in the law-enforcement, communications and technologies, employment services and education environments. In the past 15 years, I have served as an EXCO member of HR Departments, occupying various senior management roles in Employee Health and Wellness & Organisational Development, and interim Head of HR, working closely with Senior Executives. I have coached and mentored leaders on managing employee productivity and building wellness and performance cultures in organisations while supporting employees live healthy and productive lives. Furthermore, I have worked with private individuals interested in self-awareness, personal and leadership development. In 2019, I incorporated the integral approach in my coaching following training with Centre for Coaching. I am involved in community work, where I volunteer as a mentor, career and lifeskills coach, and serve as a member of the Board of Directors at an NPO focusing in education.

I offer one-on-one coaching services, Enneagram assessment and coaching for individuals and teams, workshops on personal development and self-improvement covering topics such as self-awareness, self-care, mental health, and health & wellness. I also facilitate employee assistance programme (EAP) and wellness workshops for managers to build their capacity to manage work performance in the context of work/life and mental health challenges.

The coaching process with my clients starts with assessing their readiness to embark on a coaching journey and a discussion of what coaching entails. I embrace the integral approach to coaching, which focuses on working with clients to develop self-awareness, capacity and competencies to enable them to find new possibilities and opportunities to creatively respond, rather than react to their challenges. The approach is client centred; a client is regarded as an expert of their lives with the inner resources to solve their problems. My job as a coach is to facilitate insights and personal growth through deep listening and asking insightful and self-reflective questions. I apply the strengths of various approaches, including Psychodynamics, Emotional intelligence, Cognitive, and Positive psychology. I also use the Enneagram and 360-degree assessment to help clients develop or enhance their self-awareness, and to fast-track insights, growth and integration. Coaching is also conducted in the context of the life stages of individuals.

I have had the honour and privilege of coaching employees, managers, leaders and professionals from diverse backgrounds. I also coached private individuals interested in personal development in areas of self-awareness; work/life balance; managing change; improve work relationships and communication skills; self-improvement such as changing behaviour that is getting in the way of being effective at work and in their personal lives; and tapping on existing strengths to become better leaders.

With my professional background, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in human resources, career coaching, personality and emotional intelligence assessment tools, counselling and employee health and wellness. As a leader, I know what it means to feel overwhelmed and challenged by the huge responsibility of leading self, others and business. Therefore, it is important for me to create a non-judgemental and safe space for clients to share their challenges and development needs. I serve as a thinking partner, a sounding board, supported by a fundamental understanding of how organisations work. As a coach, I am committed to my own self-development by following practices that help me ground and regulate so that I can be fully present for my clients.

What my clients say:

Throughout my life journey, I have always had the honor of having great mentors and leadership council from those surrounding me. Mmapula Mnisi’s coaching style and personable approach is easily distinguishable from others as it places the human essence of her client work at the center of her practice. Working with her, using the Enneagram approach, has been eye-opening; soul enhancing; and nothing short of refreshing. Our work, under her guidance, has fortified my self development work while also giving me the motivation and clear sense to reach even higher towards my dreams. For the first time in my adult life, I feel confident growing in the direction that is informed by cutting edge science, honest interactions and candid conversations – which for a young in my shoes is priceless – not even the sky is the limit for what is possible. Mpumi Nobiva, Founder & CEO of Oscillate Healing

I began this journey somewhat hesitant because I didn’t know what to expect. The explanation I got at our first session of the process that was going to unfold was a relief, especially learning what coaching is. I must say, with our subsequent meetings, getting off my rollercoaster was an incredible relief. I got permission to review, rethink and re-do. One of the biggest “AHA” moments for me was the realisation that I am allowed to feel tired, to stop, take stock of my position. Thank you Mmapula, you have helped me to learn that much more about myself. Kamo Letlole, Key Accounts Manager
