Being fascinated by the mind from an early age, I have studied various disciplines from Western Psychology to Eastern Contemplative practices. Today I practice as a mindfulness coach and counsellor for individuals and facilitate group meditation trainings in Johannesburg in an effort to make these practices more accessible to everybody.
Mindfulness coaching is the application of mindfulness practices to our lives. This involves working together to identify thinking patterns, and exploring psychological tools to help manage difficult thoughts, emotions and life situations. It’s a non-judgemental space where you can get clear on your values, building a richer, more meaningful life.
After completing a BA Hons in Psychological Counselling from the University of South Africa I obtained certification in A.C.T. (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), a methodology based on mindfulness principles, and formally open my coaching practice in 2018. I am also a certified Recovery Coach and a yoga and meditation instructor with 15 years teaching experience.
