From working with perpetrators of violence in prisons and working with victims of violence she left no stone unturned in her wish to end the cycle of violence in South Africa. As a trauma specialist, she worked with victims of violence and crime - survivors of rape, domestic violence, and torture. She is a strong believer in the human spirit and its resilience to heal from such adversities of life. Often this is an opportunity for growth, when the client can explore new solutions and new coping skills, to emerge from the experience stronger. She has also worked with perpetrators of violence, specifically juvenile offenders who had committed serious crimes from rape to murder she facilitated rehabilitation programmes in four prisons in Gauteng.
Lindiwe believes that deep inside every client there is a longing for a life of greatness, for a purposeful and meaningful life, to matter, to make a difference. “We are more like acorns, each of which contains within it all the potential to be a magnificent oak tree. We need nourishment, encouragement and the light to reach toward, but the oak-tree-ness is already within us” John Whitmore (2009).” Lindiwe’s coaching approach provides nourishment and support for clients to be more resourceful in their personal and work lives, calling forth their capacities and strengths so that they can realize their optimal effectiveness and potential. She fosters action and learning with a directed and intentional focus towards realizing organizational results.
At the core of Lindiwe’s coaching is her presence and authenticity as she facilitates the client’s growth and mastery.
Her process involves:
Illuminating the client’s self discovery: She believes it is critical for a client to develop a realistic view of themselves, their actions, motivations, passions, intentions and most importantly their life purpose and meaning. Lindiwe is a qualified user of various psychometric assessment tools including the 360 degree inventory, so where necessary she recommends these tools in order to enhance self-discovery;
Enhancing the client’s awareness and self-reflectiveness for optimum clarity so that the clients can navigate their lives with more ease and make empowered decisions;
Empowering the client to take full responsibility and ownership for making choices that can assist the realization of their dreams and goals.
