“Compassion involves those relational behaviours through which another is seen as a legitimate other in coexistence with oneself.” - Adapted from Maturana and Bunnell.
As a certified Integral Coach, Conroy adopts a holistic approach to coaching by working with the intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual domains of a client which allow for true insights to arise that sets the foundation for lasting growth to take place. As an integral coach, he would explore the client’s current situation and presenting issue, way of being in the world, and would dialogue around what the client wishes the outcomes of the coaching program to be. These outcomes need to be clearly articulated and agreed upon by both coach and coachee. Once this is done, work starts on the way in which these outcomes can be reached.
Furthermore, within the scope of a broadly integral approach, he eclectically, pragmatically and creatively applies various techniques, models, and other relevant tools in the best interest of the client’s agenda. Conroy adopts this approach because of his belief that focusing too rigidly on a predetermined model may not be in the best interest of the client.
He supports people to improve performance in a sustainable way. People that work with Conroy are challenged to re-examine existing narratives and worldviews and are guided through a journey of discovery aimed at increasing awareness of self and others. Working with Conroy will improve the coachee’s creativity and effectiveness.
