Having co-founded and led an organisation, Shine Literacy, for 24 years I understand the overwhelm of deadlines, and the importance of good planning and systems that help us manage teams and reach our goals. I offer PathSetting coaching and a thinking partnership.

I trained in Special Education at UCT and have always been driven to create spaces where people can thrive. In 2023, I retrained as an Executive Functioning Coach. My coaching draws on the Smart but Scattered program by Dr. Peg Dawson and Dr. Richard Guare, as well as Nancy Kline’s Time to Think, BJ Fogg’s Tiny Habits, and David Allen’s Getting Things Done.

I’m currently a thinking partner to Sector Leaders and I run workshops and coach teens, young adults and professionals in creating systems and habits that help them navigate daily life.

“Juggling full-time mothering, part-time coaching and a degree in psychology not to mention all the data coming at us from the world and social media, it is very easy to feel overwhelmed. Maurita highlighted my strengths and challenges and enabled me to identify my goals. She then showed me ways to break tasks down so I could “get things done” while having self-compassion when life or people just got in the way, which inevitably happens! Thanks so much Maurita for getting me back on the path.” Beverley Molver.

“What sets Maurita apart is her vast experience and wisdom. She coaches with honesty and clarity, while also being warm and supportive.” – Nosipho Waku, Social Sector Project Manager

“I’m nowhere as involved as I was with keeping my son on track as I was before. Totally worth the investment!” – Kehiloe Ntsekhe, Parent

“Navigating the job market as a young graduate was one of the most emotionally taxing and lonely journeys I’ve ever experienced. The constant rejection, the self-doubt, the deafening silence after interviews it was easy to lose hope. But in the middle of all that uncertainty, Maurita Weissenberg was my unwavering support. From the moment we connected, Maurita showed up for me with tireless dedication. She didn’t just coach me, she championed me.” – Exaucee Kalula, Honours Graduate

“What I appreciate most is that Maurita brings her own lived experience into the conversation—she’s walked this path herself—and she creates a supportive space for me to unpack the emotional side of leadership. Thanks to her guidance, I now feel I have a clear and confident roadmap to success in my role.” – Adelle Bruggerman, Social Sector Director & Co-founder
