Werner Guse is an Executive coach and mentor in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Werner has extensive executive business leadership experience in ICT and advanced manufacturing. After a short stint in psychology he pursued a career in Human Resources management and worked in senior management roles.
For a large part of his recent career he co-founded and managed a subsidiary of a large corporation, with clients in the ICT, financial, mining, manufacturing and public sectors. He has an established business growth and profitability track record that equips him particularly well to deal with complex business leadership challenges of his clients.
Werner follows an eclectic approach, utilizing aspects of goal orientated coaching, positive psychology and neuroscience.
Most of all his approach aims to develop leadership competency and capacity. His experience allows him to grasp implications of organization strategy and culture, and to relate that to competencies required. Initial engagements usually explore these aspects, and competency profiling is often included.
Capacity to lead is reinforced through individual purpose, values and relationships. Capacity development often includes neuroscience approaches for Peak Performance and Memory Reconsolidation.
Coaching is usually concluded with clear progression against set developmental goals and coaching focus areas.
His qualifications include B.Com hons (cum laude), M.Com I/O Psychology as well as an Executive Development Programme from WBS.
Werner is a registered Counselling Psychologist, and has completed trainings in various coaching and neuroscience approaches. He is a member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology and a certified Level 1 BWRT practitioner.
