MetaGen’s business concept is to optimise the performance of companies by identifying and unleashing the potential of individuals within these companies.
The aim is to create more top performers in organisations. This includes improving the performance of potential performers and broadening the group of top performers. These people can be from any discipline or function in the organisation.
René Barnard gained 20 years experience in the corporate industry, starting as a marketing assistant up to her last position as Director and Campus Support Manager for CTI (Computer Training Institute (Pty) Ltd), a R52m pa turnover company employing some 180 employees.
As part of the executive team of CTI, René’s role was a combination of operational work and corporate responsibilities. CTI’s size required that she have a close relationship with the 10 branch managers on operational issues such as HR, administration and finance. At the same time she was intimately involved with the strategic issues of the organisation such as expansion, policies, chairing the managers’ meetings, product development strategies, international accreditation and marketing policy.
During 2003, she realised that she was coaching informally for the last five years of her career and because she has a passion for people and their development, she decided to coach full-time. She qualified as an Associate Certified Meta-Coach with the ISNS.
René has studied topics including Marketing, Sales, Strategic Planning, HR Practices, Emotional Intelligence and Financial Management.
René’s strengths as an Executive Business Coach are her understanding of the corporate world and the challenges faced by leaders. She is compassionate yet at the same time holds her clients accountable to their potential. She offers coaching in either English or Afrikaans.
One on one coaching facilitates people to discover solutions for themselves within a safe and confidential environment. Periodic re-enforcement of new behaviours and actions facilitates implementation.
In a business context this approach takes full cognisance of the company objectives (360 degree evaluation process) and is action / outcomes based, which incorporates feedback to management during the coaching process.
The exciting part is that companies do not see coaching as a reactive program anymore – more and more companies are introducing coaching programmes as incentives for their top performers!
