Why coaching?

My college years were spent pouring over books of Philosophy, Psychology and Biology, out of my pure fascination for what makes us think, feel and behave the way we do. This fascination has never ceased and in the diverse career paths I’ve chosen, the common and overriding purpose throughout them all has been the desire to help people help themselves become better and happier with who they are in every aspect of themselves, mind, body and spirit. It’s been 3 years now since I’ve moved to South Africa from the UK and my fascination continues.

I have spent 19 years working with and developing people in the UK, Europe and now South Africa, as a Leadership Coach, ESCI accredited assessor, ICF ACC accredited coach, Somatic Coach, Somatic Educator, Executive Recruiter and Personal Trainer. My opportunity to coach business leaders and Executives began in 2003 after qualifying as an NLP practitioner and was a natural progression from my career as an Executive Recruiter. I have continued coaching ever since moving from performance coaching to personal and professional development. My move to South Africa was driven by a desire to work within a diverse landscape whilst enjoying the warmth of the African Sun and the hospitality of its people.

Coaching style

My background in Somatics means that I intuitively work best when working with the individual as a whole and am known best for developing Authentic Leadership Coaching and Development interventions that include:

Stress Management and emotional resilience

Authentic Leadership interventions are designed to work by engaging leaders with differing levels of competence and varying levels of responsibility within multiple layers within an organisation. This approach creates an environment of trust, where leaders have the ability to communicate respectfully, identify shared values, raise one another to higher levels of motivation, appreciate diversity in thinking, instil confidence, take on responsibility and motivate and inspire change.
