Veronica Royston
Our fast-paced postmodern world requires attentive and innovative approaches to care for its increasingly complex challenges. In solution, Veronica Royston’s 22 years of industry-specific experience inspired her to establish a coaching practice designed to help executives and individuals to achieve success and fulfilment in their work and personal lives.
Veronica is executive coach, organisational psychologist, facilitator and narrative practitioner with organisation development and risk management skills honed at senior levels across the UK, Europe and Africa in multinational firms, namely at Standard Chartered Bank, Old Mutual and PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. She has worked closely with risk management specialists developing people- based risk management solutions to deliver board effectiveness solutions.
She combines her commercial awareness, risk management skills and psychology training to coach executives to improve their personal resilience and leadership effectiveness, manage change and diversity, think strategically and leverage their team’s performance.
Veronica’s coaching services cater to organisational leaders in times of change, equipping them to lead effectively, adapt fast to new environments and successfully adopt a global outlook whilst engaging and celebrating local expertise. She is particularly well suited to working with leaders who require a coach and facilitator with a global mindset and diverse international corporate expertise at senior levels.
Coaching Approach
The purpose, need and context frame the approach adopted. In designing coaching programmes, Veronica draws on her senior level management experience, her organisational psychology training and her business risk management skills.
Storytelling is used as a vehicle to facilitate deep self-awareness, foster meaning creation and develop an appreciation for culture and context in shaping individual, team and organisational changes. Solution focused methods encourage goal setting and an outcomes focus.
Her style is collaborative and as coach she is a thinking partner that both challenges and supports the leader’s skills development and goal achievement through a relationship of trust and openness. Using her leadership assessment and development skills, she has access to a variety of tools and feedback processes to increase the leader’s awareness and to challenge leaders to see options for action beyond the known and familiar. She brings a particular focus of accountability to the coaching relationship and in each engagement agrees a strategy that is tailored to the needs of the individual and their organisation. Her approach is rooted in theory and yet practical and outcomes oriented; it is at once personally deeply meaningful and business oriented.
