Being a successful entrepreneur myself, I understand the challenges of turning one's dreams into reality - and the huge satisfaction that this brings! I love working with clients who dare to be different, and are prepared to take the necessary risks to go it alone.
I have studied (BA LLB), travelled extensively, worked in the corporate world (Homechoice, Sky TV London) and lived as a successful entrepreneur and small business owner since 1999.
I am inspired by people who are open, curious and driven to live a successful and purposeful life.
Experience
I have experienced a 7 year journey of conceptualizing and starting a small business, growing it to the stage where I was managing fifteen staff and hundreds of clients, and finally exiting the business to take a one year sabbatical and travel the world.
These are some of the areas where I would've loved to have had a coach:
- Planning and managing the transitions from one stage to another in the development of the business (particularly in moving from being the main implementor -> to the manager of others)
- Identifying goals, assessing risks - and then going for it!
- Having a thinking partner to bounce ideas with and keep focused on the
'big picture'
- Growing a team, managing it, and eventually downscaling it
- Managing money and resources, without falling into the debt trap
- Maintaining a healthy work / life balance
I am currently involved in several online businesses that I have built around my passion for travel, coaching and yoga.
Qualifications
I graduated with a BA (LLB) degree from UCT in 1992.
I hold a Diploma in Coaching from the Coaching Centre, where I graduated in 2006 after completing a 2 year coaching course.
I'm a founding member of COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa).
