Pat Roberts

Pat realised during her long business career, that the excellence in others isn’t always realised. She has seen many executives fail to achieve their potential and then spend the rest of their lives wondering why. Her decision to move into coaching is guided by her commitment to unleashing the excellence in others. Her experience of coaching has shown her how much can be achieved through honest partnership and real commitment to the coaching process. She believes that the real gold in South Africa is in its people, rather than underground.

Previous Background

Pat spent more than 2 decades in a leading role in the field of communication strategy consulting prior to becoming an executive and business coach. She has consulted to executives at board level in every business sector in South Africa as well as to senior representatives of government and parastatals. During her career she has held the position of managing director of two of the larger communication consultancies. She grew one of these from a start up to become the first majority black-owned and staffed communication strategy consultancy to attract industry accolades and awards.

Coaching Work

The integral approach to coaching has demonstrated its value. The use of proven methodologies in a one-on-one coaching relationship ensures that each coaching candidate receives a unique and personalised coaching experience. The outcome is an individual who has faced personal blockages or tough goals, conquered them and learned the ability to self-correct in the future. The process works towards building excellence and supporting enhanced achievement.

Educational Background

Pat is one of less than 100 Accredited PR Practitioners (APR) in South Africa. She has completed a range of post graduate courses in the area of business management, having studied at Wits Business School, GMIT and at the Aspen Institute in Colorado, U.S.A.
She holds the PCC qualification from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business Centre for Coaching and is Accredited as an Integral Coach by New Ventures West.
