Purpose
As leader or manager in an SMME (Small, Micro or Medium Enterprise), you are probably doing at least three people’s jobs. Your business can react and adapt to change quickly, but is vulnerable to external factors. It is therefore vital that you are personally up to the unique challenges faced by SMME's.
Coaching is a process where you and I engage in purposeful conversation and I challenge you to find that one thing, or list of actions, that will move you up to the next level.
I am an executive coach who has been coaching and lecturing since 2007. I am also a business owner and entrepreneur who has held executive, middle management and technical roles for the last 16 years, both in South Africa and in Ireland.
Process
How does the process work?
One-to-one executive (performance) coaching and group/team executive coaching: After I am approached either by an individual or the organisation, we meet to see if there is a fit between you and me as client and coach. We then structure an intervention typically over 3, 6 or 12 months which will take place face-to-face and/or using telecommunications technology.
- The initial agenda for on-to-one coaching varies depending on the client’s requirements and could be interpersonal or intrapersonal, or even based around corporate, tactical or operational strategy.
- Through team coaching, we explore the team dynamic, team formation and team “rules of engagement” to develop a more coherent and productive team.
Group/Team facilitation - workshops and training: As an external facilitator I guide you through creative workshops to get more out of your teams and its members. I recommend using facilities where we can all be present in mind and in body, without interruptions.
These workshops are typically 1/2day, full day or over two days. Topics vary and can be on solutions specific to your organisation, or more generic such as time management in the 21st century or project management for small businesses.
Although based in Cape Town I am available to travel locally and internationally.

My qualifications include:
- Diploma in Personal & Business Coaching (ILI) 2008;
- Taught Master’s Degree in Project Management (UL) 2006 and
- HND Electrical Engineering Light Current (CPUT) 1994.
