Daphna Horowitz is an Executive and Leadership coach in Johannesburg. She is known as the ‘catalyst coach’ who partners with leaders to create shifts in their thinking for maximum impact and quality of life. Having experienced a major career change, from Actuary to Executive Coach, Daphna is passionate about working with motivated, self-driven leaders to enhance their performance and, at the same time, improve their sense of fulfilment.
She specialises in leadership and personal development with a particular focus on connecting passion and purpose with tangible objectives. Her coaching philosophy is that sustainable success is realised through living a purpose-driven life. This is achieved through a process of challenging thinking and behaviours to maximise leadership potential combined with personal development or the ‘soft stuff’. This leads to her clients achieving results and fulfilment far beyond their expectations.
Before establishing her coaching career, Daphna had extensive experience working within the corporate environment in the field of Actuarial Science, as part of a team, specialising in Product Development, Consulting and Marketing at Director Level. In addition, she has lectured in Actuarial Science to undergraduates and post-graduates at Wits University and University of Johannesburg. At different periods, she ran her own Actuarial Consulting Company and Corporate Event Management Company.
Daphna regularly appears on TV, radio and magazine articles as a specialist in various coaching issues. She is accredited with the ICF (International Coach Federation) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She is Treasurer of the ICF Gauteng Chapter.

Qualifications
Daphna qualified as an Actuary after completing a BScHons in Actuarial Science (Wits University) and an FIA via the Institute of Actuaries in London. She then obtained her certification as a Life and Executive coach through Results Coaching Systems (Australia). In addition, she is certified as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is a Lead Trainer, Assessor and Mentor for Results Coaching Systems and an accredited facilitator for various leadership development programmes.
Daphna is currently reading for an MPhil (Personal & Professional Leadership) at the University of Johannesburg.
