Hi, I am Paula, a coach, entrepreneur and contemporary Mom, devoted to helping you live the life you want.
What I do
Where I thrive is helping people to get to know themselves really, really well, in order to align their lives with who they are, rather than just going along with the heard. That means we get to explore your unrealized strengths and build confidence and motivation for the change you seek in your personal and professional life. Most commonly I support people with: work-life balance, getting clarity and direction, career transition, getting unstuck, decisions making and leadership and personal development.
How I coach
Every client is utterly unique, so my coaching style is flexible, in order to ensure that I am delivering exactly what you need from our partnership. I do not believe in blanket approaches and one-size-fits-all processes. I don’t do quantity, I prefer quality collaborations.
In order to set meaningful, life enhancing goals, which are truly aligned with who you are and what matters most to you, I stand fast that you need to know and understand yourself first. You are not coming to me to simply become another carbon copy of someone else; what works for others, won’t necessarily work for you.
Through our coaching, the aim is to “reveal you to you” and get the self-limitations out the way. You want to know what makes you feel alive, what you love and are uniquely gifted and talented at, so you can start living the life that is meant for you.
We are going to figure out what your own version of success, happiness, well-being and balance looks like, and come up with the step-by-step strategies and goals which will help you achieve that vision.
Why I do the work I do
Prior to discovering coaching, I blindly lived a life based on what I had been lead to believe about the world. So, simply put, coaching saved me from living someone else’s unhappy life. Wouldn’t it have been great if life came with a manual instructing us to discover ourselves, our needs, our values, our strengths? How to use what we have been given to build a wonderful life? Alas, most of us, just arrive in our lives and get to where we’re at, without paying much conscious attention to what we’re doing or why we’re actually doing it. We get taught by society what it is to be successful and what will make us happy. We often don’t ask any questions, we go and hop on that bandwagon, and start chasing the things we think will bring us the lives we long for. This was my story too. But there is a way better alternative. The option of being an active participant in intentionally creating your life.
I will never forget that morning I woke up in 2008, depressed, burned out and directionless. That day I resigned from a corporate career, without having any plan whatsoever. It was terrifying, however I knew that I could not carry on in that state for one more minute. What ensued was a journey of healing, self-discovery, and infinite personal growth. You might have guessed, that during this time, I was fortunate enough to meet a coach and this was the most pivotal point in my life. So this is why I do the work I do. I get to practice what I love on a daily basis, by helping others to consciously take the reins of their lives and put their own stamp on how they live their life. True personal and professional fulfillment can only be achieved by doing it your way, based on your “differentness” and unique set of talents. And should you chose to hire me as your coach, I would be honoured to help you figure out how to do that.
My Professional Life
After a successful 8-year corporate marketing career, I transitioned into life coaching and people transformation. Since 2010, I’ve been doing individual coaching, executive coaching, facilitation, coach training and mentoring, key-note speaking, writing for magazines and newspapers, TV and radio interviews and have also hosted an international Positive Psychology Coaching group. What professionally took things to the next level for me, was becoming the first Certified Positive Psychology Coach® in the Southern Hemisphere in 2015 and having the opportunity to serve as the mouthpiece for feminine self-care giant, Dove’s, #ChooseBeautiful campaign.
