Casper Oelofsen


Casper is an international executive and business coach with a strong background in entrepreneurship, strategy and business consulting consisting of 18 years of experience. He has been a founder of various businesses and has experience on executive and non executive levels.  Casper assists executives to expand and broaden their view, enabling them to identify new ways of doing things and in the process drive growth and transformation.

One of the key strengths of Casper is that he has various business interests. This ensures he stays in contact with the stressful and rewarding realities of the marketplace.  Casper was one of the founding members of Capitec Bank Ltd and has also assisted in the establishment of the nationwide Cash Crusaders Retail Group (First Franchisee). He has organizational experience on board level and understands the tough demands on Leaders who constantly need to drive change and growth in the complexity of the world of work. He supports his clients to spend time more effectively, to understand and accept their strengths and weaknesses and to find a healthy balance between work and life. Casper’s practice is divided between face to face and telephone coaching.

Casper holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Science from the University of Stellenbosch (SA).

He has completed the Coaching to Excellence course at UCT Graduate School of Business.  He has also completed a course in Process Work facilitation for Transformational Leaders (University of Portland in association with USB). He is one of the founding members of Mindful Leadership interventions to assist executives in the ever changing and demanding corporate environment.

Casper has coached on various programmes, as examples: the Emerging Leaders Programme, a joint initiative of the Southern Africa-United States Centre for Leadership and Public Values at the University of Cape Town and the Terry Sanford Institute at Duke University in the United States. He has coached the last 7 years on the Johnson & Johnson (EMEA) Women’s Executive Development Programme. Casper is also coaching on a Leadership intervention run by Rosemary Grant and Liz De Wet at Old Mutual SA.

Casper uses The Integral Model (Ken Wilbur), Time to Think Environment (Nancy Kline), Process Work (Mindell) and theories of Carl Rogers as the major tools in his coaching approach.  All coaching interventions are modified and suited for specific client needs. Casper is also a registered user of The Enneagram behavioural assessment tool.  Casper is a registered member of Comensa (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa) and a member of the Neuroleadership Institute based in Sydney Australia.
